Inspired originally from listening to hours of Beethoven. Is also an original composition by Rob Hinkforth.

The concept behind the tune is an ongoing pulse that unfolds in a lyrical manner. The melodies and harmonies therein are simple, while also most distinct. Similar to how Beethoven approached his music.

If one were to listen to a Beethoven's piece with a discerning ear, it would become apparent that simple melodies were often employed and explored. Though it does take great skill and a certain degree of confidence to play something by Beethoven. Still, underneath the complexity thereof are simple melodies and incredible harmonies that transcend culture and the ages.

When the Spirit Moves, follows a similar pattern of using simple melodies accompanied with well crafted performance techniques.

It stands as a contemporary classical / finger style guitar performance, showcasing Rob Hinkforth's steady techniques on the guitar.
